Unsealed emails buried within the Epstein files reveal that Bill Clinton’s BBM account was exchanging sexually charged messages with Ghislaine Maxwell. But it comes with a twist.

A vocal Epstein accuser threatening to murder children related to Virginia Giuffre.

In an email sent this morning, Ransome attached photographs of Mr Roberts’ partner and children, along with photographs of Mueffling, her family members, and her children, warning that they now ‘have targets on their backs’.
“I will come after your children,” she told them. “The fucking Ayatollah [the Supreme Leader of Iran] will be fucking terrified of me after what I do to you and your children.”
My First Day in Court
I sat in the fifth row taking notes. Ahead of me, the defendant in a fitted cashmere sweater, media scanning every inch of her outline. Girls from The Daily Beast whispered about her slimmed figure, noting an estimated twenty-pound weight loss since her arraignment. They joked about adopting the federal prison diet. The YouTube guys were predictably more crude, pointing out the faint trace of a panty line and a “nice rack” for a sixty-year-old.
The details of Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex life were introduced as evidence to prove that her perversities matched Epstein’s. A basket of vibrators kept in her closet included a Twin Torpedo model, a triple-motor system boasting “three times the intensity and 10 vibration modes.” There were bottles of oil. A full-length bondage leather suit. A collapsible massage table. Each item was presented in open court, with members of her family sitting behind her as supportive spectators.
“In November 2002, Ghislaine arranged to send Clinton what she described as “devil slippers” for his birthday.”
Early in my coverage of Maxwell I uncovered whispers of a rumored affair between her and Bill Clinton — one of the scandal’s best-kept secrets, largely unwritten. The tip I picked up from people who had spent time around them described the chemistry as obvious. Lady Victoria was one of them. According to her, Bill Clinton was in especially good spirits around Ghislaine. At a party in New York, Victoria met him at the bar, taking tequila shots with a group of beautiful women. Charming. Flirtatious. Exactly as political lore paints him.
Bill Clinton, in his heyday, had a reputation for charming women across the aisle. I know this from champagne-fueled brunch confessions in Palm Beach, where partisan loyalties loosen after a second mimosa. Women who were active in political circles during his early campaign years admit they would have willingly bedded Clinton—the enemy—because of the way he “looked at you like you were the only woman in the room.”
In my earlier reporting, I described the Clinton–Maxwell tryst as an untraceable rumor. Later, more assuredly, in The Long-Buried Secret of Bill Clinton’s Affair with Ghislaine Maxwell and the Epstein Cover-Up. What many overlooked was how, in her only televised interview, Maxwell went out of her way to highlight her closeness to the Clintons. She referred to Bill as a “special” friend. A deliberate choice of words that passed largely unnoticed.
When the files dropped, I rushed to test my own assumptions. Sure enough, there were sexually charged exchanges between Bill and Ghislaine — raunchy sweet talk and BDSM.
But it comes with a twist.
Unsealed emails buried within the Epstein files suggest that President Bill Clinton’s BBM account was involved in these exchanges with Ghislaine Maxwell. The surprise wasn’t the tone of the messages.
It was the intermediary.
By most accounts, Doug Band isn’t a household name. Yet for more than two decades, he occupied one of the most intimate and influential perches in modern Democratic politics: just off Bill Clinton’s shoulder. In many ways, he was closer to Clinton than almost anyone outside the family.
For context: Band’s career began modestly. He left his home state of Florida and arrived at the White House in 1995 as an unpaid intern. While other interns came and went, Band stayed. By the time he eventually stepped away from the Clinton orbit years later, he had helped build one of the most expansive and lucrative post-presidential operations in American history.
When Clinton packed his bags and waved his way out of the White House in January 2001, Band remained by his side. He oversaw scheduling, speaking engagements, fundraising, and donor relationships. He was instrumental in creating the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), an annual gathering that brought together heads of state, corporate leaders, billionaires, and celebrities under the Clinton Foundation umbrella.
Band’s influence was widely recognized inside Democratic politics and among donors. But he was also envied as the former president’s gatekeeper, the first point of contact. He controlled access to Clinton, decided which invitations were accepted, negotiated speaking fees, and managed relationships with individuals and institutions seeking proximity. As Clinton’s global profile grew, so did Band’s power.
That siphoning of power was far from unintentional.
Band transformed CGI into a major platform for global philanthropy while, behind the scenes, plotting to leverage his position and the Clinton connection to build his own corporate advisory firm, Teneo — a company that now has an estimated value of $2.3 billion.
Clinton clung to Band not simply for his organizational skills, but, most importantly, for his natural mastery of “the ask.” His approach was artful. With ease, he could convince rich donors to part with their cash, often without it feeling like he was asking for it at all. In the process, he bragged that he had personally raised over $150 million for CGI by courting influential, wealthy contacts.
It was during this period that Band was drawn into the orbit of two more names to add to his Rolodex.
Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
DB: Come back to NY to play with me, fun week here. Island looks unlikely for me. Going with WJC on a brief vacation, then back for 2 days. Can’t do Hawaii either.Yes, Naomi is in town. I will tell you about that one. Call me later — on a plane back from DE now. From: G Max I thought I had erased your old email. Ok, well I do not stick my finger in your bottom but 2. GxEpstein had already known Clinton from the 1990s and was presenting himself as a financier and philanthropist with an interest in global health, education, and science — precisely the terrain in which the Clinton Foundation operated. Maxwell had known Clinton longer, having clinked glasses in the same high-society functions and social circles. She functioned as Epstein’s intermediary, easing the mysterious billionaire into relationships with politicians, academics, and a number of famous faces, including Clinton’s.
In November 2002, Ghislaine arranged to send Clinton what she described as “devil slippers” for his birthday.
Epstein and Ghislaine both reportedly visited Clinton at the White House no fewer than 17 times. But the trio met fairly frequently outside political settings. They flew together. They swam in hotel pools together. They attended events and private dinners together. And they accompanied one another at CGI functions around the world.
Thus, Doug Band came to meet Ghislaine, spawning a relationship which, through startling emails recently revealed amid the 3.5-million-strong monsoon of documents that make up the Epstein Files, we are only now beginning to understand the depths of.
Early on, Doug realized that Epstein wasn’t the super donor he’d hoped he’d be. Checks did indeed arrive from Epstein’s warren of properties and tax-swerving shell companies. They came sporadically and only with double, even single digits before the zeros (on one occasion, he donated just $500) rather than the hundreds of thousands, even millions that he could easily afford. His highest donation was $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation in 2006. His second highest was to Bill’s wife, Hillary, for her 1999 Senate election campaign.
However, Band and Clinton understood that Epstein was useful for other things, not least of all facilitating the arrival at a venue in style by flying on his plane, since sinisterly nicknamed ‘The Lolita Express’.
It was on Epstein’s plane that Band and Maxwell’s introduction reportedly took place, chatting as they soared toward a humanitarian event. Flight logs confirm that Clinton flew on Epstein’s plane multiple times between 2002 and 2003, with Band’s name appearing on some of those passenger manifests alongside Maxwell’s. Other flight records list Band traveling on Epstein’s aircraft without Clinton present, indicating that his contact with Epstein extended beyond Clinton’s direct involvement.
Epstein maintained contact information for Band, listing him in his address book. In fact, as Clinton’s gatekeeper, Band’s email addresses, cell phone, and BBM details were listed in Epstein’s infamous black book under Clinton’s name.
If Epstein or Maxwell wanted access to Bill, they had to go through Band.
But, surprisingly, we’ve come to learn that it was Maxwell, not Epstein, who regularly communicated with Band. More often than not, her messages weren’t motivated by a desire to speak to his boss, Bill, but to Band himself. Nor were her messages predominantly professional. They were aggressively flirtatious. Casual. At times, downright raunchy.
It is fair to say that Band is not the most handsome of men (if you imagine the slightly creepy singer Tiny Tim post-barber visit, you wouldn’t be far off). But there was something about him that Maxwell was evidently attracted to.
On October 4th, 2001, Band emailed Maxwell: “You back? Another way to get in touch with me quicker is on my BlackBerry — actually the president’s, but we share it. Wjc@imcingular.com.”
From there on, they frequently exchanged messages, sometimes through Doug’s personal email account, but mostly through the BBM he was astonishingly allowed to share with a president.
DB: Nice, anything I can do to help. I told naomi I couldn’t make her party. She has some other interesting suggestions of ways to make up for it though.
And if I see one more fucking email titled strapping I will kill someone.
By the way, the pres wanted me to tell you to tell jeffrey he says hello and he misses him. Maybe dinner or drinks late next week.On April 17, 2002, Band wrote to Maxwell: “You are too much. Mike Less is sitting next to me, and he says he loves you, as I do, as well as my boss. I did the same old blonde last night. Booooorrring. Miss you. When are you coming back?”
The pair arranged morning coffee liaisons together, and on April 21st, an email in the Epstein files shows that he called her “a peach” before inviting her to lunch.
She called him “Booboo.” He called her “Boob head.”
Five days later, he told her: “Went home with someone I have before, a 40-year-old blonde, big booby widow, if you can believe that. I really need to stop drinking.”
“Ew,” Maxwell replied. “You know, that is almost enough info to stop me fancying you.”
By December of that year, their relationship had deepened. Around a week before Christmas, Ghislaine wrote to Band: “Booboo, I am in PB [Palm Beach] — we came back from the island for a few days and may come to NY tomorrow — are you around? I am very ill and require immediate medical attention — I am suffering from boobooitis — a very serious condition. Without a booboo, the symptoms become very pronounced — a withdrawn, faraway look, frequent sighing, prone to cries into the night that sound like Shakespearean sonnets that sound like this — Oh Douglas — Oh Doublas — wherefore art thou Douglas?”
She signed off: “Kisses. Your very own Booboo. G.”
The same day, Band replied that “my boobooitis is also reaching epic proportions,” adding, “Lots going on but will be in boobooville the second you arrive.”
Another email sent by Maxwell to Band reads: “Sorry to hear that the Belzburg stuff is bad and even worse that it may be damaging. You know that one of my pet fears is that in London I am press toxic, so I hope that I never add to your woes in that dept. If I hear anything, I will, of course, let you know. I could not help myself — there was one juicy little tidbit I did let out — the one about what a super stud you are and how I have a crush on you and how you are hung like a horse and — well, you get the picture. Hope you don’t mind. Gx.”
In October 2004, after telling Maxwell that he couldn’t meet her because he was feeling ill, she replied: “Ok, I shall go home alone and pout. Loved seeing you… Kisses. G.”
“Wow, all this flattery,” Doug wrote back. “Lily has a run for her money.”
“Carol says, is it really that big?” Maxwell wrote in another message.
“Bigger,” Band replied.
“Carol wants to know if you have slept with a best-selling author — Clinton notwithstanding,” Gmax followed up. “Did I mention how sexy you are and how Carol and I were plotting disgusting things with you, or I should say your body?”
“And what I would do to you two chicas,” Band replied.
Band wasn’t the only Democratic Party recipient of Maxwell’s tongue-in-cheek affections. Another was Miami Mayor Philip Levine, whom Maxwell credited with first introducing her to Clinton in a social setting back in the ’90s.
In one of Maxwell’s emails sent to Levine, she wrote: “I told her that you were hung like a horse and she said that she would like to see it at breakfast — I told her to take pictorial evidence for me.”
GMAX: No of course it does not matter - just if she says anything I know it’s ok to not have t play dumb and act like I have no idea what she is talkina about
Did I mention how sexy you are and how Carol and I were ploting disgustungs things w/you or 1 should say your body.As scrutiny of the Clinton Foundation increased, Band’s role became a source of tension. Internal concerns grew about the overlap between Clinton’s philanthropic work, his private speaking business, and Band’s outside commercial ventures — tensions that came to a head during Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state.
Chelsea Clinton took on a role at the Clinton Foundation and soon began accusing Band of exploiting the organization for his own financial gain. She also claimed his consultancy firm was secretly using Clinton’s coveted name to contact members of the British Parliament.
Band fired back.
According to the hacked Podesta emails, he accused Chelsea Clinton’s husband, Marc Mezvinsky, of being involved in conflicts of interest. According to Band, Mezvinsky used the foundation to raise money for his hedge fund, and he claimed that he could name 500 different conflicts of interest involving the foundation — some, he alleged, directly involving Bill Clinton himself.
In a 2011 email, he wrote of Chelsea, “she is acting like a spoiled brat kid who has nothing else to do but create issues to justify what she’s doing because she, as she has said, hasn’t found her way and has a lack of focus in her life”.
Inevitably, Bill and Doug’s relationship soured, and the pair, who had achieved so much together, parted ways.
In later years, Band gave numerous scorned interviews to the press, saying in one of them, following Epstein’s final arrest, that he had come to distrust Epstein and urged Clinton to cut ties with him. He has also made claims about Clinton’s movements that Clinton’s representatives deny and that are not supported by flight records. Those statements remain disputed.
In March 2015, the charity watchdog group Charity Navigator added the Clinton Foundation to a watch list after it was criticized for receiving donations from Middle Eastern countries, most notably Saudi Arabia (which donated between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation), a nation known for widespread human rights abuses.
By then, Clinton’s association with Jeffrey Epstein had long ended, with Clinton claiming he stopped speaking with his former flying partner sometime before his 2006 indictment. In a statement, Angel Ureña, a spokesman for the Clintons, said: “He knew nothing about Epstein’s crimes. When it became clear Epstein had no genuine interest in lifesaving philanthropic work, there was no reason for further contact. The facts are the facts and the truth is the truth, and they’re both on our side.”
But Clinton’s relationship with Maxwell continued. She attended Chelsea Clinton’s 2010 wedding along with her then-boyfriend, Ted Waitt, a tech billionaire who was a friend of the Clintons and a prolific Clinton Foundation donor. She remained in the Clinton orbit even after prosecutors and the press began looking for a scapegoat to answer for Epstein’s crimes.
“Island looks unlikely for me. Going with wjc on a brief vacation then back for 2 days.”
Maxwell told the DOJ last year that she last saw Clinton sometime between 2016 and 2018, having dinner together in Los Angeles. In the same interview, she said that “President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein’s friend.” She also revealed that she had a “very central” role in setting up the Clinton Global Initiative along with Band, adding that Epstein was also engaged in the effort. “He [Epstein] supported me to help them,” she elaborated. “But then I think he may have tried to use that to insert himself in some way.”
Richard Attias, a former top executive at PR firm Publicis who had worked on the project, corroborated Maxwell’s involvement. Emails released in the Epstein Files reveal that it was Band who arranged for Attias and Band to meet.
“She was in Davos with President Clinton,” Attias said. “This is when they realized the amazing impact of Davos and they came up with the idea of creating something similar, but with a different philosophy.”
What is clear is that Maxwell was involved on a personal, not only professional, basis with some of the key players — Band most of all.
In a statement to The Times, Band said his communication with Maxwell occurred when he was in his late 20s and unmarried. But the emails clearly show that he was in a relationship at the time with Lily, his now wife. “There was absolutely no physical relationship that occurred between us. Ever,” he said, confirming that, in 2011, he’d emailed another Clinton aide, directing him to “remove” Maxwell “from all lists” giving her access to Clinton-related events.
But that seems to have been merely an exercise in self-preservation.
With the media circus and political point scoring surrounding the Epstein Scandal intensifying, Bill Clinton is set to soon be deposed by Congress over his past association with the disgraced financier. Since the Epstein files were released, with the help of his current Chief of Staff, Angel Urena, he has been engaging in a bitter battle against Republicans on X, issuing statements condemning the upcoming deposition as a kangaroo court, and sharing posts by Urena criticising Republicans demanding full transparency.
Meanwhile, one can imagine Doug Band, AKA Booboo, hiding away in his office at the headquarters of Tenio right now, head in hands as he observes the online political jousting being conducted by his former boss and the ex-president’s ‘new right-hand man’. Surrounded by nostalgic, almost haunting framed photographs of him and Bill – the pair playing golf with Obama, posing backstage with Michael Jackson, meeting North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il. Worrying if he’ll be hit any minute by the tidal wave of Epstein file repercussions before taking a break to gaze dreamily out the window.
Longing for the carefree days of morning coffee house meetups with his raven-haired British admirer.
Reminiscing over the prick-rousing pings from incoming seductive BBM messages.
And pining for another dirty dose of boobooitis.

Thank you for the article....very enlightening. Clinton is such a sleeze, liar and hypocrite...same for his wife. Yuck
As I’m from the UK and all my news is Andrew & Sarah atm, it seems all my life Epstein and Ghislaine et al have always been on my radar. Of course Robert Maxwell played a big part in this and the mirror group newspapers, my mother would spit if the Friday night fish & chips came wrapped up in it. I’m 63, how long has all this been going on? My whole lifetime? What is the timeline here? It’s got to be 50 years! I’m wondering if I’m ever going to see an arrest in my lifetime!
