The wedding gown story doesn't make sense to me. If Victoria wanted the dress finished by a certain date it would have been done. It didn't even have beading or lace. Jackie Kennedy's gown was ruined and had to be remade at the very last minute and it was done on time.

This is SO juicy, I can’t deny. My Mum is British and I’ve been able to grow up watching Beckham play and of course I was a huge Spice Girls fan as a young girl so I’m glad to see this being covered as Mum and I always keep tabs on what’s going on in the UK (despite her living here in the States after marrying my Dad in 1981) and since we both detest Harry and Megan, the hiring of the media solicitor is a little sus. 🤨 I don’t like paying too much attention to celebrity/rich people drama here or across the pond but I’m curious to see where this all goes.

Same family dynamic for me also, but my dad is the one who’s a Brit! We also detest Harry and his low rent parvenu, but imo she is a million times worse than Nicola, who is not shamelessly and deliberately conning or stealing from her in-laws without remorse. Meghan is utterly and wholly detestable and Harry (who is nearly just as bad) has turned into a pathetic extension of her. I’m not defending Nicola, but their motives are extremely different and I don’t think the abuse or the reasons for it are comparable. Nicola is pedigreed and comes from good stock, so I do believe her love for Brooklyn is far more genuine as she doesn’t need anything from him. Harry on the other hand has an unhinged nutter, barnacle and thieving con artist for a wife who is only using him - and mostly his family to sponge off of like the vile parasite she is. Meghan has never actually loved Harry, only what he can do for her; which she cheated her way into and never deserved in the first place. Nicola and downmarket Markle are not the same, in my opinion. Harry is genuinely under the abuse of a narcissist who is strategically isolated from his family so that no one can get him away from her. Nicola would be just fine if she and Brooklyn ever separated, but Meghan is fatal attraction in real life. What she gets away with is vile beyond comprehension and I would bloody love to see her imprisoned for fraud like she deserves. *Really manifesting that for her*

I remember stories about there being lawsuits over the wedding planning. That Peltz changed wedding planners late in the game and then sued when things didn't exactly go right... something like that. I wonder if something similar happened with the dress... that she was going to have a VB dress but then changed her mind? And then similarly made excuses as to why? Celebrity seems like a very stunting influence on most of the people it touches. If the spouse and in laws can’t get along, it’s sad and regrettable, and it won’t be healed by lawyers and cameras and social media passive aggressiveness. Time, privacy, humility and generosity may help. In the meantime, he chose a wife and owes her alone his loyalty for the duration of her life.
You can cleave to your wife but also need to continue to honor your parents. It’s sad when wives turn their husbands against their family and cause unnecessary drama!
When a man marries, his relationship with his wife becomes his primary obligation as they become one flesh. This is the relationship that is meant to be permanent and it necessitates leaving the childhood relationship with parents where it belongs, in childhood. In no way is it a dishonor to the parents to prioritize the wife. Of course he continues to have a filial duty of respect and care for his parents, even if the wife doesn’t get along with them for whatever reason. A man honors his parents best by building and leading a family of his own, and part of doing that successfully is having healthy boundaries and the ability to balance relationships with the appropriate weight. Yes I agree it is sad when families struggle to come together peacefully, but hopefully this family will find their way with time and effort and this marriage won’t be derailed by some unhealthy competition between wife and mom or whatever is going on here. Hard to say since most of this is speculation based on instagram posts, etc!
