This is an extraordinary example of how you manage to do that every single time… I’ve loved Taryn since I was 13 and saw crossroads when it first hit theaters. I also am a huge fan of her work in Hustle and Flow as Nola and her brief but badass stint in 8 mile.
It’s hustle and flow though, where her extraordinary talent truly shines. This woman should be given more meaty parts like that one because she IS UP FOR THE CHALLENGE. Hollywood is terrified of powerful women who speak their truth. Just terrified of them!
I also saw crossroads again at universal city walk’s AMC that Monday before Britney’s book dropped and when the credits rolled the packed audience applauded when her name hit the screen, just as they did for Britney…. I hope she knows how truly adored she is as an actress, a musical talent in her own right, and how much the real ones of us out here treasure the radiant light and realness this woman exudes. How refreshing is she??
