Maybe I’m in a different place than you but I thought the McDonald’s stunt was funny and especially Bobby’s tweet about the milkshake today. Also - not bothered by the bros. I grew up with two brothers and the masculine energy feels real and familiar to me. I’m having fun - it was a bad feeling to lose last time. Feels mighty fine right now.
I’m with you Carmen. I don’t feel “unrepresented” as a woman. I too have two brothers and have a lot of amazing male friends in my life. I don’t see us as separate - we’re all in this crazy world together. And it’s the UFC… of COURSE that’s going to be a “bro fest” type event. Go for it!! Let off steam! To me the absolute highlights (which I can’t get enough of - I’ve watched the clips so many times) were when the fighter did the Trump dance (I don’t even know his name), and the look on DJT’s face when he did!! 🥹🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰 and the genuine and affectionate greeting and embrace between DJT and Joe Rogan. (As an aside, am I right in remembering that it was the HUGE surge in male voters - young male voters - that helped win the day? So I say JOB WELL DONE appealing to that demo!). HOWEVER!! I do wholeheartedly agree Jessica would do a MUCH better job covering the real BTS footage. Not only WAY better artistically/aesthetically!! (which is so important! 😄) but in terms of showing us the truth and humanity and cute moments behind all the politics (and even behind all the bro fest stuff!). The best way to appeal to women would be through focus on family ideals. How Abraham Lincoln said, "The best thing a man can do for his children is love their mother." Protect the children's innocence - once it’s gone, it’s gone. Cherish goodness. MAHA is helping to reach out to women - mothers in particular - who want to raise their children in a world where it doesn't feel like new, hidden dangers are everywhere.
