Just finished the book. Great read! So much to unpack in it. I am going to recommend it to my local book club. It raises so many thoughts about nature vs nurture. No doubt that Ansel was psychologically damaged from his abandonment. The author did a wonderful job developing the characters and even though he did gruesome things, I did have empathy for Ansel as a lost soul.
