The ice cream at the lower level of Trump Tower is a hidden gem. Business Insider and Politico are rags. Your writing is far superior. We have the best tacos, folks. Many people are saying this.

Seeing the pic of Trump and his taco bowl from May 2016 makes me sad- I remember that pic- - -

- - - then I must have blinked, because we are all here, 8 years later- - - look at his smile- the personal stress and the stress of a nation have taken their toll in ways we never could have imagined.

I see the stress on his face. Makes me very sad.

I love how you took a walk round the edges of the fetid pond of class envy and only occasionally dipped your toes in the water. It made my day. The taco salad does sound good. Well done.

The steak is even more impressive! I visited New York this summer and the Trump Tower was one of THEE highlights of my trip. Thank you for the article.

Thanks for taking me down memory lane. :) I've never been but was a teenager during these years. The East Coast was where many of us midwestern, party in the woods by so & so's cornfield kids wanted to BE! I remember watching this happen. His legal battles to build it, his praise of all the tradesmen working on it. The glam and flash of he and Ivana and the Mar-A-Lago purchase/plans. Miami was my desire, lol. Hello? Miami Vice? Plus, we were partiers, all the blow was coming into Florida (and still does). I bought Art of the Deal when it was released. Odd how this man has had such a large impact on my life.

FFKS providing a food review on a friggin Mexican food that has been ‘Americanised’ in the ‘close the borders’ home land of Trump MAGA world, seems just a little ironic or did you mean to be? Please read and acknowledge Project 2025….

Trump has NOTHING to do with Project 2025. He has not endorsed it. His agenda is on his website. Agenda 47. Stop believing everything fed to you by the MSM.

Ah, shades of the late 80’s opulence. Wall St. and Trump Tower are just a part of 80s history that marked the era of churn and burn. I was a stock broker at that point in time. Visiting NYC was a rite of passage and visiting Trump tower was a must. Even as a broker from the west coast knew they were not a part of the real financial markets being played on the east coast. And now, all that’s left is the history and the Taco Bowl. Visit the ice cream shop, report back and maybe it’ll be put on a list of “must sees” in NYC for visitors.

There was only one other building that surpassed the evidence of the ‘days of plenty’ so obviously. But it’s not in New York and in fact was never occupied fully. The Halliburton building in Houston was the 1980’s edifice to greed in all its outwardly forms. That and its pitiful demise. And that tale should also be told!

Shoot! Enron Building, not Halliburton! Dangit. Need an edit button for my forgetful mind.

Haha Nuzzi is such a hater. It's probably called Ivanka salad because it's what ivanka likes. Where is the Nuzzi salad?

She was actually a delight at lunch - Trump tower was her idea. Denise ordered it anyway - it’s true, Ivanka’s salad wasn’t very impressive. Lol

Many years ago when my father was looking for an apartment in Manhattan, we looked at Trump Tower apartments. They were so cheaply made. The walls were thin and I was surprised at the quality or lack thereof. He ended up moving into Olympic Tower--much better. That said Trump Tower is certainly a staple on Fifth Avenue. Way too over the top just like Trump himself. Glad you found the gem of the Taco Bowl. Taco trucks in New York are the best. I went to one called Burria Landia and it was amazing! A lot more affordable too! Sounds like you're having fun in NYC. Enjoy! Sabrinalabow.substack.com
