I agree! As a WNY’er and a nurse listening to his briefings, I was gong to lose it if I had to hear him say “vent-ta-lator ” one more time. Totally in it for the theatrics!
Jeffrey Ledbetter, from Little Rock, was that boy in the snow that died of an apparent heart attack from an undiagnosed condition. He was a remarkable young man from a remarkable family. He was head turningly handsome, quite tall, and very smart.
He seems to be an opportunist and it doesnt work out for him, does it? I can only imagine the fury the family felt after his comments about Michael’s death. I will never quite understand that type of rationale. When your own personal agenda superceedes the feelings of your wife and her family thats a recipe for disaster. And the fact that Chris was part of that speaks volumes. Its a no thanks for me - never have been a fan of that family and I am a New Yorker. Looking forward to more stories, Jessica!
I must say, I was taken aback learning about Andy C's true colors! His demeanor is incredibly impolite, with true characteristics of narcissism. It's truly disheartening to know he had such a lack of respect towards the Kennedy family, who exude nothing but charm and liveliness. I’m betting they are a blast. I can only imagine how they must have found great amusement teasing him and discussing his disgraceful behavior behind his back. Everything he did seemed solely intended to elevate his own image, which is a pitiful endeavor. It's such a shame, for he comes across as a complete joke, fool, and creep. Thankfully, the Kennedy's are better off without his presence.
AC in my view & opinion is an narcissistic individual engaging only in what directly benefits his Career, Period. AC is in extreme need of Counciling serious Treatments for his Arrogance, Bullying Behavior! Period !!
Great read. One note…at the time of Michael K’s death, he was anything but a private person. He was embroiled in an affair with his children’s babysitter. It was ALL over the news at the time. My family summered in the town next to him (he was in Cohasset MA) and I remember my grandmother loving all the media around. It was such a scandal and then shortly after he died.
Imagine squandering the opportunity to be involved in the Kennedys lives. Alcohol and damage aside, the love, joy and loyalty they have as a family (minus recent issues with rfk’s brothers and sisters) is admirable. Nasty Cuomo ruined it.
I think this article is very one sided. I have no doubt Cuomo was not husband material, but the Kennedy clan is not a fairy tale. It’s a bunch of alcoholics and damaged kids of alcoholics. Imagine being dragged to your in-laws all the time where they have boisterous traditions set in stone. Kerry chose to marry Andrew, an obviously bad choice, and chose to have 3 kids with him.
I would argue that there are countless articles in Vanity Fair that detail all the Kennedy scandals. No one who knows anything about them would refer to their legacy as a "fairytale."
In this case, it's more about how two very different families became united and then clashed during this time period.
