"My father told me when I was a little boy that people in authority lie and the job in a democracy is to remain skeptical."

Well, HELL, if that ain't relevant right now.

I've followed RFK on twitter during the pandemic because he was one of the few that made sense. My aunt was permanently injured by the MMR vaccine as an infant - the doctor said it was okay even though her immune system was down - she immediately had a seizure and fell limp. She's been a permanent vegetable ever since and cannot do a single thing for herself. That scared me as a child hearing that story from my dad and always have been skeptical of injecting/inputting anything unnatural in the body since. Also highly recommend his interview on Joe Rogan's podcast if you haven't listened to it yet. Anyways, I'm absolutely loving this series, Jess. Excited for your additional installments!

Good for you🙏 Highly recommend Candace Owens' series of A Shot In The Dark where she goes through the entire V schedule. Literally debunks the "need" for every single one of them.

Thanks, hopefully it can be reversed some day, maybe a heavy metal detox. It was back in the 60s and the doctor was old, ready to retire. Little to no accountability back then. Zero accountability = zero trust.

thank you, I will definitely check it out!

Do not take ANYTHING Candace Owens says without absolutely fact-checking. Her stance on vaccines is FALSE and incredibly, dangerously uninformed.

thanks but i know how to do my own research and can formulate my own opinion.

Really? What lab facility are you doing research in? What's your field of research specifically?

Expand full comment

Wow. Great MISINFORMATION.

There are no heavy metals in ANY vaccine. If you're referring to "mercury," you might actually want to KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!

Candace Owens is NOT a scientist = she's the furthest thing from a scientist, one can possibly be.

https://newsone.com/3848636/candace-owens-receipts-con-artist/

THIS is what you're referring to:

About Thimerosal

Mercury is a naturally occurring element found in the earth’s crust, air, soil, and water. Two types of mercury to which people may be exposed — methylmercury and ethylmercury — are very different.

Methylmercury is the type of mercury found in certain kinds of fish. At high exposure levels methylmercury can be toxic to people. In the United States, federal guidelines keep as much methylmercury as possible out of the environment and food, but over a lifetime, everyone is exposed to some methylmercury.

Thimerosal contains ethylmercury, which is cleared from the human body more quickly than methylmercury, and is therefore less likely to cause any harm.

Thimerosal prevents the growth of bacteria in vaccines.

Thimerosal is added to vials of vaccine that contain more than one dose (multi-dose vials) to prevent growth of germs, like bacteria and fungi. Introduction of bacteria and fungi has the potential to occur when a syringe needle enters a vial as a vaccine is being prepared for administration. Contamination by germs in a vaccine could cause severe local reactions, serious illness or death. In some vaccines, preservatives, including thimerosal, are added during the manufacturing process to prevent germ growth.

The human body eliminates thimerosal easily.

Thimerosal does not stay in the body a long time so it does not build up and reach harmful levels. When thimerosal enters the body, it breaks down to ethylmercury and thiosalicylate, which are readily eliminated.

Thimerosal has been shown to be safe when used in vaccines.

Thimerosal use in medical products has a record of being very safe. Data from many studies show no evidence of harm caused by the low doses of thimerosal in vaccines.

With all due respect, Writer Writer, anything that is not in its wholesome state coming from nature doesn't belong in my body. My body, my choice - whether it's my fertility decisions and/or medical procedures.

Expand full comment

I'll assume you never wear makeup, never use hand or facial moisturizers, never drink any soft drinks, never consume ketchup, or mustard, or anything you haven't hand made? This is such a baseless, hypocritical statement.

Water can kill you. Natural, "wholesome" state, which can cause hyponatremia, and drowning. Belladonna is natural, as are a host of highly poisonous mushrooms; some people are deathly allergic to birch and other plants in that genus - avocado for instance.

EVERYTHING is derived from nature. The components of every single thing you eat, every treatment you take - all of it has its origins in nature. Asprin? Wormwood....

Sigh. Not catering to these interrogations. I make my own moisturizers and wear makeup for weddings, etc. Not sure the obsession with my personal choices and not curious about yours, nor do I care to judge or change what you do. You're not going to change my mind and I don't care to change yours. It's none of my business. Aspirin is derived from willow but it is not in its wholesome state. Drop the hot coal, you're only burning yourself.

Judging by your triggered response I'd say you believe you are 100% right in all this.. but I can assure you there are doctors talking about vaccine injury and heavy metal toxicity. I unfortunately have had 2 family members and a close friend seriously injured by the shots in 2021. The only way my mom was able to get out of bed and was from detoxing with an organic clean diet. That's after seeing 7+ neurology specialists, dozens of hours at doctors offices and countless ER visits.

I'd count it as a blessing if you haven't had the first hand experience that is usually the unfortunate catalyst for people to look deeper into this topic. I for one am extremely thankful for people like RJK Jr who have brought these topics to a public forum and in doing so made support and healing more accessible for those that need it.

Any yes, you can find all those things you listed above in a clean form. There are MANY companies creating products from whole, natural ingredients. Very easy to live that lifestyle nowadays with all the options at our fingertips! Once you make the switch you'll never even want to drink a soft drink again :)

My goodness. I am so sorry to read about your aunt. How awful! I too, have seen injuries from vaccines in my lifetime (more so recently) from many people and can support your statements here, Jules. I know you probably don't need to feel validated here because it looks like you can stand on your own two feet, but I understand your skepticism entirely and I also understand how it feels to have people come after you in comment threads.

There are a handful of people in my life who have chronic issues that stem from vaccine injuries. The doctors have told them the issues were caused by a vaccine as well as saying something like, 'Well, this can just happen to some people'. Such a hopeless thing to say to someone who now has 7 new autoimmune diseases and lives in pain for the rest of their existence on this Earth. I stand by Kennedy when he expresses that these vaccines need more research before they are administered.

I won't even kick up the dust with a certain vaccine but 6 of my family members ended up with cancer just this year. I am sure you can connect the dots.

Side note: The way that all vaccines have been incentivized really rubs me the wrong way. Just the other day I was in the grocery store and heard, "Get your vaccine for RSV today and you will be entered to win a free turkey to put on your table this year as you celebrate the holiday season". Gross. So, not only are we injecting, (and yep, I am going to say it) heavy metals, into our bloodstream, but we also have a chance to win a parasite-filled turkey from a farm that injects them with hormones and they are fed pure garbage before being put on the market and then jammed with harmful preservatives. Great! Sounds like a real win. I also had never heard of RSV until recently.

TLDR- People do indeed experience injury from vaccines and they are marketed as a fix-all method to these illnesses /diseases with incentives that don't encourage good health.

Omg six family members! Ugh i am so sorry, Danielle, and poor things, they probably have no idea of the connection. It's so sad some of us need to learn through tragedy. After my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer (before covid) I researched every alternative treatment that doesn't involve a hospital and yes they are out there! Sharing my findings for all who are interested:

Heavy metal detox and fulvic (i use coseva's brand)

Essiac tea (the story behind this is beyond!)

Dr. Schulze's herbal cleanse (i did the four week program)

And most of all the belief that our bodies can heal and regenerate.

There are other methods like hoxsey, royal rife, iodine, mms, H2O2, burzynski, apricot kernels, but haven't tried them personally.

I appreciate you! It's just the way things have turned out, unfortunately. I am trying to stay positive about it all. I didn't want my family to learn this way, but here we are! And yes, they (alternative treatments) certainly are out there!!

This is so sweet and thoughtful of you to post and share this here. I hope someone sees this and finds it helpful. I have heard of many of these, but not all of them and now I am going to go on a deep dive. Thank you for sharing!! I am sorry your mom had to go through that though and I hope she is doing better now! <3 Thank you, Jules!

My middle son was injured. They give 6 week old babies sooooo many vaccines. But no medical professional has ever even implied they believe us. All refused to document it. It’s so strange. I think vaccines are generally good, but I would also think that scientifically figuring out any issues would be a good thing. A baby doesn’t go from happy and healthy to covered in head to toe eczema the day after a round of vaccines for nothing!

I'm so sorry about your middle son. We need to shout it louder and louder until they can't ignore our voices anymore. It's happening way too often for them to continue to turn a blind eye. So, you never drink soft drinks, or smoke, or injest anything "unnatural?"

Belladonna is natural, as is cyanide, and snake venom (not a reference to Kennedy, but could be) and both will kill you dead in minutes.

Kennedy is NUTS and he is dead wrong about pretty much anything science. Also, he's NUTS.

I’m curious as to why you are a better authority regarding vaccines and science than RFK Jr?

Expand full comment

How is he an authority? He's quoting debunked claims from 2005 based on a "study" by a former doctor who lost his license because he engaged in incredibly unethical practices (paying 10-year-olds for their blood), and whose almost entire compendium of studies were pulled because they were unsubstantiated, very poorly researched, and could not be replicated.

Kennedy is nuts. Don't trust scientists, don't listen to experts...

How did you assume I'm a "better authority?"

Expand full comment

I think you bring up some interesting points and site some credible sources but it's all pretty much lost on me given the anger and seething resentment that flies from the screen. I think RFK Jr.'s fundamental tenet of his campaign is to allow for differing opinions to be openly discussed, respected and looked at with some form of objectivity so that something much for substantial can come of it. I think you have something to say, it's just hard to hear.

Expand full comment

Anti-science, anti-medicine, anti-vaxx are not "differing opinions." Those positions are uneducated, and frankly deadly.

We cannot permit the promotion of absolutely false information to be considered "opinion." There is no difference between the David Ike lizard people "opinions" and the baseless, anti-science rhetoric Kennedy spouts.

Kennedy exhorts people to disregard scientists and experts. Who then shall we listen to? Someone like him who has no science background at all, and who despises science that counters his position?

The US already has a serious, serious problem with respect to education. Far too many USians do not have any grasp of basic facts - and too many cannot even find their own country on a map. When conspiracy-minded people with influence converge with this abysmally uneducated demographic, it is a powder keg.

Kennedy does not entertain, and indeed disputes and reviles factually-based opinion. He promotes fully debunked - by 1000s of studies - "treatments" that cannot work, and by doing so, he literally jeopardizes people's health.

The "resentful" allegation is ridiculous, but it is one used with GREAT efficacy in all sorts of cults. It is, in other words, "If you're not with us without question, you're against us/a terrorist" - insert slag here. It is a VERY contradictory comment, considering you're touting Kennedy for a claimed allowing different opinions. Do you understand this?

My EDUCATED opinion is Kennedy is enthusiastic, but many of his beliefs/statements are based in conspiracy, false/debunked information, and anti-science sentiment. In a country with such poor education, someone like Kennedy, who seems to be saying any opinion, no matter how devoid of factual basis, has a place. That is not an optimal position.

I don't ingest any of those, fortunately. I would take Belladonna in homeopathic form if necessary, but haven't. Thanks for the info.

Expand full comment

Of course you would, because depending on the C on the label, there will not be a single molecule of whatever substance in your homeopathic. You can consume every single bit of whatever product at one go, and there will be zero effect. The dilutions literally provide you with water, or in the case of "pellets," which Boiron et al must call their products because legally they cannot say "pills" or "tablets," sugar and cornstarch.

ACTUAL information here: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Homeopathy

Homeopathic "treatments" are one of the greatest scams of the 20th and 21st centuries.

This is by far my most anticipated series from you. I grew up in the 60’s/70’s and remember fondly stories of the Kennedy’s. Our family was split politically, my mother conservative Republican my father a union member Democrat. We were always allowed to make up our own mind by doing exactly what you do, listening to both sides. I ultimately ended up leaning more Right, but the more you learn about politics in general the more skeptical one becomes of everything you thought to be true. I’m willing to listen to everything to weed out the truth. Oh and we named our daughter Kennedy because of my fascination with the family. 😉 Can’t wait for the rest. 💕

Love. It. Only missing picture is freshly showered Connor walking down the steps but I’ll live 😉.

Kennedy’s destiny feels very grand indeed. One of the advisers he brought on is one of my favorite minds, Charles Eisenstein. I think it’s him that brought in the narrative of America’s timeline diversion with JFK’s assassination. I hear Bobby talking about that in his speeches. The vision his slain uncle and father had and how he plans to fulfill that legacy. The cynic in me has a hard time seeing how he’ll pull off getting around the behemoth of the multi tentacled military/corporate industrial complex. But his presence is the disruption it needs to be sure.

Wonderful writing Jessica.
