Bud needs his own podcast! Hilarious. My cat gives him a thumbs down. Don’t know about the extinct sea animals, but the sickos are using the land animal extinction reason to grab more land. They are also taking some areas of the national parks and using for satanic rituals. The public is not allowed anywhere near those areas so its a perfect cover for the sickos.
Jessica, would love to hear what Bud (and you!) have to say about this wealth of info interview between UCDavis professor & alumni. Worth the watch for the history lesson alone. It also covers how corrupt these colleges are and the people they appoint. Mind blowing.
Yep! Scientists from several top universities being paid mega bucks to lie to us. Bud, get your mom’s money back!! Seriously, that episode had my head 🤯
Honestly, you and Bud connecting is the highlight of 2024! I NEED a Bud in my life, but for now whatever Bud content you can put out will certainly suffice!
Wow, this makes me question everything 😆 It is interesting to think about where we are spending our time & money - on endangered species we will never see or alleviating the mental health crisis of our own nation? Not that the latter has one size fix all solution but I feel Bud’s argument forces us to ask what is the most important thing we can focus on? And is it really the Axolotl?
Closing the state mental hospitals in the 80s and putting the mentally ill on the streets was by design. Look at where we are because of this. I don’t think the overlords want them housed and functioning.
TBF, we knew the bison were endangered because we slaughtered every one of them we could find so the Comanches wouldn't have anything to hunt. Couldn't beat them at war so we found a loophole.
Kind of the same way the government was so sure Iraq had anthrax because Rumsfeld sold them tens of thousands of pounds of the stuff when he was CEO of Searl.
Before we slaughtered all of the bison there were 60 million grazing on land… and farting and crapping. We only have 40 millions cows, so how can we blame cows for causing climate change when there were 50% more grazing animals in the 1800’s?
They are critically endangered? Online it says they can regenerate any body parts so why don't they just make them in a lab? It's always the cute ones they want to save. It will definitely give Peppa Pig a run for its money. I bet there will be an axolotl podcast coming soon to Spotify. I get Bud's larger point and he's not wrong. sabrinalabow.substack.com
It’s even worse than this. Scientists are supporting land grabs in Africa based on flimsy evidence of endangered wildlife, that, by the way, threaten farms and livestock.
I remember kids having an axolotl in their tank as a pet here in Australia, I think we even had one in our biology lab at school, but they were black- not so cute.
Once you make the connection, you can't unsee it... endangered species paved the way for climate change/control. OH my how naive we've all been. George Carlin has a excellent bit on man kind thinking we can control nature.
I think I'm in love! He is fantastic! He's not wrong. The volcano lushness is spot on. He needs to be on Adam Carolla's podcast. I could listen to them go back and forth for hours. Poor Hayes. My grandsons' hermit crab died - I'm getting them an Axolotl. Or a duck. I'm dying for a pet duck.
Well shit - I'm in So Cal and it's illegal to have them - for this insane reason Bud just covered:
"For example, this is the case in California where the potential release of axolotls could cause severe environmental damage. If released into the wild, axolotls have the potential to easily outcompete already struggling native salamander species, such as the California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) and the Eastern tiger salamander (Ambystoma tigrinum).?
The Reason Behind the Ban
Some may assume that these bans are a result of the wild axolotls being critically endangered, however this is not the case. While wild axolotl populations are in steep decline and will likely face extinction soon, the axolotls kept as pets have been fully bred for generations in captivity and are descendants of a number of small colonies spanning a few different countries.
Pet axolotls have been bred in captivity for decades, to the point where they are no longer the same as axolotls found in the wild, both genetically and behaviorally. Captive axolotls have been crossbred with tiger salamanders, have had their DNA tweaked (the GFP gene is one example), and have been bred for many generations in the absence of natural selective forces, thus making them almost like an entirely different species. This is one important reason why releasing pet axolotls into Lake Xochimilco (their native habitat) would not help prevent wild axolotls from going extinct.
The reason that many governments outlaw the ownership of axolotls comes down to the large environmental threat they pose if they ever were to be released into the wild. For example, this is the case in California where the potential release of axolotls could cause severe environmental damage. If released into the wild, axolotls have the potential to easily outcompete already struggling native salamander species, such as the California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) and the Eastern tiger salamander (Ambystoma tigrinum).
Bud is so entertaining. When he decides to sue NPR, I’m gonna need you to cover the entire case. TIA🤣
You know I’ll be there lol

If you listen to Alex Clark’s recent podcast episode with Calley Means you will agree with Bud!
Wait. Really?!
Yep! Scientists from several top universities being paid mega bucks to lie to us. Bud, get your mom’s money back!! Seriously, that episode had my head 🤯
Just listened to it 🤯
Wow - I'm almost done with the podcast- it's incredible! Thank you so much. I ordere Caley's book.
Love Alex and Calley! I need to listen.
Honestly, you and Bud connecting is the highlight of 2024! I NEED a Bud in my life, but for now whatever Bud content you can put out will certainly suffice!
Mine too!
I'm freaked out by those Axolotl's. I think they're aliens. 😂
Me too!!

You are about to welcome an Axolotl or 10 into your home! #axolotl4hayes

The cat part had me rolling. Also the Yale girl thing, my dad dated a women from Yale and I 100% agree with Bud!
😂🤣😂

Yes! Great point

Did they smile at you?
Not that I remember and no one ever spoke about that, I'm not such an animal person, and probably thought it was a bit gross, tbh.
Interesting …

Why do I feel like a News Update character from SNL was based on this guy? 😆
Like the Drunk Girl at a Party skit. I love her. We were all her at least once 😂

Does Bud have an IG page? I need more of Bud in my life! 😂😂😂
