Do Tulsi and Melania now - their style is 🔥🔥🔥

My thoughts exactly! Why not include a republican? Her bias is blatant.

Expand full comment

It was about the DNC! 😆

Expand full comment

Ok, that's true. I just get a little sensitive when I read so much about these ladies and others get ignored.

Expand full comment

Don’t get sensitive it’s the truth these ladies continuously get shoved down our throats in one way or another. It’s not only the DNC, I sometimes think to myself (of course) am I living in America?

Did I miss an article on the RNC ladies??

Expand full comment

Nope there wasn’t one!

Expand full comment

I feel like it’s probably hard to put out any flattering articles about the democrats in terms of policies, views, character. So….fashion it is. Lol

Expand full comment

The title was fashion at the DNC. I don’t believe either of them were there…

The title of the article is about the DNC fashion

The pant suit Kamala Harris wore looked like she had a fight in a thrift store and the thrift store was the winner ,

Expand full comment

I thought the same of that pantsuit. The color was drab and the cut too big. Just my opinion, but I’ve seen her in much more more flattering colors and cuts.

Interesting article! I enjoyed it. However, I have noticed how ill-fitting Kamala's suits are. The sleeves are too long, the jacket waist is loose, baggy, moves too much when she walks and the pants don't taper nicely through her thighs/legs. The suits lack any sort of interesting tailoring, color, fabric or style for that matter. She looks like a high school Principal. I understand her outfits can't be "too sexy" but the style, tailoring etc is severely lacking. Am I alone in this observation ?

Expand full comment

Dude, you said it perfectly, “high school principal”. Presidential fashion choices isn’t my cup of tea, I don’t think pantsuits convey authority whatsoever…

Fashion styles where women are allowed to express their unique femininity? Yes please! Kate Middleton? Love her style. The few pictures I’ve seen of JRK, bohemian, So-Cal, comfortable, also love!

Expand full comment

Completely agree. Pantsuits aren't power. They are tried and true and are universally despised. The safe bet. That's NOT power. That's fear.

Power is going in with your sense of style and OWNING it. Again, it doesn't mean sexy; it means stylish, flattering, comfortable and fearless. Love Kate BTW....

I appreciate this article. What someone wears, especially in politics, from what I know, is analyzed by a team of people before it is decided what they will wear?! Fashion is relevant in our society as a whole and I think this younger generation can learn something from the older generations of how to dress and what a difference it makes in how you feel about yourself and how others perceive you. We need to start taking pride in our appearance again, imo. Also, my son is a designer so all things fashion/style interest me personally. Would love to see something like this on Melania, I think she’s the most underrated style icon of our time and no one gives her credit of the love she deserves, imo.

✌🏽❤️💙🇺🇸

I enjoyed reading a take on fashion at the DNC - I know this is something democrat females take an interest in and it's INTERESTING to hear their perspective on it. The least controversial topic I can think of that allows us to possibly connect and just consider style choices. I'm voting the other way but I don't want to read things that continually align with my view. THAT IS BORING!!!

SHEESH!

Enjoyed this read and I learned a lot. It’s quite a different perspective than JRK gave regarding fashion at the DNC and sharing this article shows her determination to share all opinions as she has consistently done with politics throughout this crazy election process.

I appreciate the links to different designers. Also, would love to read an article in a similar vein about the RNC. ❤️🤍💙 Melania is such a beautiful lady.

Boring. BORRRRIIINNNNGGGGG! Gotta up that grift Jessicccaaaaa! After November elections, who’s going to give you your meal ticket?

lol that’s ironic considering the most boring option on a breakfast buffet is the…jam jar

Exactly, obviously the MSM and these sites are pushing for a Mrs Harris victory. There is not much gaslighting left in a Donald Trump victory. I’m praying everyday for DJT win, he is planning to hit the road running. Mrs Harris keeps telling us we not going back, of course we not, even she has started realizing what a scam and sham her leadership and her administration has been the last 3 1/2 years.

JamJar: So glad to see someone else seeing/saying this. These filler guest items, which obviously are quid pro quo deals, are part reason for canceling my subscription.

Expand full comment

Bye!

Supporting other writers and creators with different perspectives is your reason for canceling?

Lame.

Expand full comment

I TRIED to cancel immediately...over a month ago! Unfortunately, and certainly you know, the subscription has to play out.

I did NOT sign up to hear from others. Maybe you should mention that when corraling others to subscribe.

Thank you for the lame formal exit!!

Really - You want like 3 bucks back to prorate it? What a joke you are. No one forced you to sign up anymore than they force you to read the articles.

Expand full comment

Using the old laughable "if you don't like it, don't read it" BS excuse. How about this: If YOU don't like my comment, don't read it! No one is forcing you to read my words, which aren't even directed at YOU!

Thanks for the laugh!!

Expand full comment

Can't help but notice you didn't comment on the desperation for less than $10 back and the fact you weren't forced to sign up. That was the main point of my post. I was not complaining about reading your ridiculous post, but enjoy your "win" with your witty response.

I don't think anyone here wants to be subject to unhinged rants anyways. In case you haven't been paying attention the new energy and mantra is UNITY. If you can't listen to different perspectives with curiosity and openness without seeing red and going into a full blown tizzy then you have some deep inner work to do lady. Godspeed on that journey!

You do realize Jessica has been keeping an insane pace for months on end, right? The woman needs a chance to catch her breath every so often. If a guest author’s piece pops up now and again, who cares! If it doesn’t interest you, just skip it.

And not one mention of Jill's number 😂

Yes, clothes speak volumes. Unfortunately, Kamala's speech does not match the vibe. You can put one in powerful clothing but it doesn't make them powerful. The brown suit appeared as though someone had been selected for a part but the costume was made for a different lead. In this case, the emperor does have beautiful clothes but here it's not the clothes that are the illusion.

This article didn’t feel like house in habit. I realize it was a guest post, but seems they didn’t understand the publication/audience.

Expand full comment

Let me clarify. It’s not a different perspective that was disappointing, rather a lack thereof. I felt like I was reading a very boring vogue article, scratching everyone’s backs. Fashion 101 + shameless pump ups isn’t a style break down. Imagine your audience is stylish and well informed. This could have been such an interesting read.

I wonder who the designers are for their satanic ritual gowns. Sorry. Not sorry. Couldn’t help myself.

Have always enjoyed fashion. My grandmother and godmother were seamstresses/tailors, so I have an appreciation for beautiful fabrics/textures and tailored clothing. Thank you Jessica for the cross post and introducing and supporting other Substackers.

Such BULLSHIT

was this written by ai?

This is a joke. She won’t do an interview but her clothes and shoes speak “power”. Melanie’s style was way ahead of this- the same clothes and hair that Democrats did with Christine Blasey Ford. Same stylist.
