πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ I 100% agree with this article here! As a pharmacist, once I realized that these drugs actually made more people sick than healed them, I’ve got to a healthy approach and began educating patients as well.

This is how i actually went down a rabbit hole and found out that modern medicine was never meant to heal, but to make money: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/donating-to-a-good-cause-how-billionaires

Whatever happens with this election we need to make sure we make ourselves healthy! That’s what’s ultimately the point. We have divine soul resting in this physical body - and the sooner we remember that, the better our body improves: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/how-to-see-the-world

Apologies for all the links but this is a topic I’m tremendously passionate about

I was down the rabbit hole also and it infuriates me. Lobbyists paid like 70k to the govt to say fat bad sugar good, in the 70s. It destroyed parts of my life and that of millions of others. I became anorexic as I couldn't lose weight in the early 80s. I had early lipedema in lower body and only starvation worked. I learned why only a few years ago after being keto for a decade and then getting a diagnosis. Millions of girls end up with eating disorders as I did in the 70s, and the American diet gives it to them! Literally if they didn't eat certain foods (proceased carbs) that inflamed the fat tissue, there would be no issue in those millions. Yet NOBODY talks or knows about it. I've been sending it to Hubermans Lab over and over in the topic entries. Someone has to let the American women know about this. It's literally lighter changing knowledge that NO one talks about!!!!

I am also a pharmacist and 2020 really woke me up. Going to school I thought I’d be helping people, but I soon realized that just like anything else, the practice of medicine is a business and they want us sick so they can treat us. And they use us and our licenses to do so.

Eliminate seed oils!!!!!

Eat ruminants and animal products! πŸ₯©

Stop eating processed foods!

Raw dairy!

Get into the sun without toxic sunscreen!

Move your body!

If possible, find a functional medicine practitioner instead of a conventional PCP!

I was always interested in nutrition and wellness, and I’m also an RN, so I was deep into conventional medicine and believed all the β€œscience.” Once my eyes were opened to the realities of how we are given food and meds to perpetuate a cycle of disease and chronic illness, it became so obvious! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The real question is why do they want us sick and poor and lethargic and numbing ourselves with drugs?????????????

Expand full comment

I’ve been searching for a functional practice in my area for awhile. The Means siblings have a new beta practice called Functional Health. I’m debating whether to join. Have you heard of it?

No, I have not. I tried googling and couldn’t find anything?

I’m sorry, it’s functionhealth.com Interesting concept imo.

The statistics are terrifying. MAHA has the best and brightest minds to heal our nation's many sicknesses. RFK at HHS, Means at FDA, Makary at NIH, and Bhattacharya at CDC would be part of a dream team cabinet: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/make-america-healthy-again-cabinet-recipe

I keep telling all my clients how much better I feel without seed oils. It’s so important. I feel better. My skin is better. And also I take a supplement NAC to help my unbalanced hormones from years of dirty food abuse.

N Acetyl L- Cysteine is an antioxidant supplement that is a precursor to glutathione which is a major detoxifier for the body. Very healing- can heal bruises 10x faster, hospitals used to give it to people if they OD’d on Tylenol etc. It’s being regulated now in a major way of course because it can help people with Cancer.

Goodness it didn’t take long for the trolls to appear! You’d think being healthy was one thing most people would agree about. πŸ™„

When the medical model became for profit we were doomed. They want you to believe that gave rise to the best and brightest in science and medicine to improve health worldwide. Instead it’s just gotten us all sicker and sicker.

The best thing we could do is allow farmers to farm what they want to farm. Without government interference. If we began to support 40 acre farming nationwide we could keep the entire nation in healthy food without a lot of problems. We could adapt to eating as seasonally as possible. Remove pesticides and allow nature to run its course. Joel Salatin has a model that could be easily implemented nationwide.

Also go after the worst offenders: Bayer/Monsanto and their ilk. Monsanto still sells products that have glyphosate in it. It has wreaked havoc in the health of humans and animals alike. The product they’re replacing Monsanto’s glyphosate mix is 50 times worse and yet gets USDA approval. It’s time to reel in the lobbyists and make the 3 letter agencies actually do their jobs!

I have been down this rabbit hole for a year. Functional Medicine is a key. The Director of Integrative Medicine at a local metro hospital explained insurance won't cover them since they prevent the Illnesses the company makes money off. Doctors are taught to look for symptoms of illness. They have no idea how the body works. Please also look into lipedema. Inflammatory fat!!! Millions of women (especially large legged) could have completely different bodies by simply being keto. Sugar and carbs i flame creating more painful inflammatory fat. I'm 53 and the 80s no fat, all sugar diet culture destroyed me. I had to be anorexic to lose weight, as you have to remove all inflammatory carbs. I keep trying to get someone with a voice to address. 1 in 500 people are hypermobile, and Lipedema, NOT lymphedema is tied to hypermobility. It's hormonal and 99% women, thin women can also have it. Most doctors don't even know about it. It's literal insanity!!! So besides all the truth you speak, please address this component to the American diet and health!!!

Same. I have to starve myself to lose weight. I’ve done every diet out there Keto worked for me and then after 18 months I stalled. The minute i stopped eating strictly keto I gained it all back. I’ve cut out any seed oils and we try and eat a whole food, cook from scratch meal plan. Still no weight loss. 🫀

Hi! The problem with starving is the body holds on for dear life to any weight you have and there can be a lot of stress induced weight gain from high cortisol levels. When you’re eating clean and not seeing results sometimes you need to look at other daily lifestyle changes as the culprit like intense exercise (leading to more increased cortisol) - maybe try switching to low impact workouts like 45 minute daily brisk walks and/or pilates, or it can also be something as simple as maybe you’re not getting enough sleep, etc. I’ve been there personally and my body was so inflamed despite my clean diet and daily hiit training. As soon as I recognized my body was holding onto weight because I was stressed, not eating enough protein and working out too hard, it really made a significant change for me. Reducing inflammation and stress is truly key! I don’t know if that was helpful at all but I hope so! xx

Outstanding post that summarizes what is going on. Follow the money. Jessica, you, myself and others must address HOW to explain to ppl who are so anti-Trump that it's not about him. It's about his team and how they will at least attempt to fix the health CRISIS that should be at the forefront of all of our minds. MAHA is the MOST IMPORTANT movement that ever was. Now how to get people to see it as such. I suppose keep posting as you have done. Bravo! I am working on a post now. Thanks for the motivation. It's contagious. sabrinalabow.substack.com

And that’s the thing… if you don’t like Trump, that’s fine, but think of all the brilliant minds that are backing him up. You cannot compare that to anyone in the Democratic Party!

Vance - Make America use Common sense Again

RFK - Make America Healthy Again

Tulsi - Make America Safe Again

Callie & Casey Means - Make America have Good Energy Again

Elon - Make America Uncensored Again

Tucker - Make America a Believer Again

House in Habit - Make America Free Speech and Informed Again (question mainstream media again).

Riley - Make America Fair Again

Candace Owen’s - Make America Have Balls Again

Charlie Kirk - Make America Educated Again

And there’s many more…

Bottom line: Make Americans love Americans again. Make America Great Again

Could live without one or two of these, but agree that a coalition of people with brains and public presence could go far to further MAHA with or without the results of the impending -- and likely unending -- presidential election.

Well said. So much of what we need to do, or in some cases, stop doing, seem like common sense, but like you said, we need leadership with vision and a plan. It will be so uplifting to put RFK’s plans to work. RFK is the leader we so need. I’m thankful to Trump for bringing him on board. And Trump will be thankful to RFK when his supporters give him that extra push to put him into office and leave him with a legacy that will never be forgotten. πŸ™

Yes! Thank you for writing this, Nikki. And thank you, Jessica, for running it.

I see much of what’s happening on a systemic level as intertwined with disconnect from our bodies on an individual level. I explore this as relates to Ozempic, food noise, choices, and options here: https://danaleighlyons.substack.com/p/how-to-quiet-food-noise-without-ozempic
