It’s so funny to read the comments that say “how do I unsubscribe”. I’ve been subscribers for a year and I’m thankful to you for giving a voice to the people that the media continue to clobber. I watch zero news. I stopped reading twitter cause it was fueling my hate for humanity. I want to love people not loathe them. You’re just the right amount of politics without fluff and with truth. It’s a gift and I appreciate the gift. Thanks for doing the hard work while loving your family well. I admire that about you.

At this moment and for months, YEARS to come-You’re the most Powerful Woman in the country. What you have done in the last few years, peeling back layers of corruption and opening the eyes of the delusion, is the best thing I have ever witnessed in my 43 years on Earth. I grew up in a house divided (Dad very Republican, Mom extremely Liberal) I enjoyed the political banter and learned a lot about both sides. So when it came time to register to vote at 18, I became an independent. I simply could not chose. Upon further review and realizing Ross Perot was not my jam nor did the democrats swindle me, I became a Republican And have voted 90% that way since. With all of your Kennedy coverage and the insane-ness that is the Kennedy family, I absolutely love the guy. I’d be thrilled to have him as our Leader. Yet, I still very much like Trump. This is so very exciting. I feel like Voting has become a chore, really since Obama won. I don’t feel that way about our next election now.

I’ve never been more excited to follow politics or have my kids follow politics, (one can legally vote now) than I am now. And for that, I Thank you. 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

I’ll admit I wasn’t very excited about political coverage but then I started to wonder why? The way that politics is viewed in the US is just another way to keep us divided. It doesn’t have to be this ugly thing that’s loathed and taboo to discuss. Thank you for taking us along with you!

Brittany - I felt the same. I didn't want to feel the "uncomfortableness" that was sure to come. But I sat back and thought - it's through our discomfort that we grow! I'm here for the journey!

Jessica - Thank you for your dedication! You have an incredible talent and I am thankful that you share it with all of us.

I, too, wore the pussy hat, marched on my State's capital, and believed Donald Trump would kill us all after he got elected. The curtain was pulled back for me in Covid. Since, I have been floating around these Texas winds looking for someone who thought like I did, or at least a little, and wondered, on a daily basis, who tells the truth? I feel like you see me, you think like me, and I finally have a 'home' again. Never again will I listen to NPR or believe PBS or the NYTimes. You and a select few others are my only sources now for all things political. Thank you. And long live the first amendment. #politicallyhomelessinAustin

So, how do you feel about his overturning of Roe v. Wade? You're cool with that now?

Expand full comment

They sent it back to the states. And... it was the Supreme Court and not a president that did that.

I have been angry about political shenanigans since the Gore disaster. It ushered in party politics like nobody’s business. I’m tired of being put in groups, that I don’t belong in and being called names for a few of my beliefs. I’m really disappointed in group think and the loss of free speech in exchange for loud speak to drown out opposing sides.

This is why I pay your subscription fee. You are making sense of it all. I can be who I am without apology. I can vote for whoever I deem worthy of my vote, but without a free media how can one really know? Enter Jessica Reed Krauss. I’m so thankful for your courage to rise above. You’re the woman I raised my daughters to think like. Thank you.

How does that make it better? Who stacked the Supreme Court with extremist judges that would overturn it? Who bragged about getting it overturned? The former president did. Kicking it to the States is a spineless manoeuvre. The bottom line is, the Republicans do not care about women’s interests at all. Nor do they consider other demographics. And if that’s ok with anyone, then that’s a huge problem. No self respecting woman would ever vote republican in this current day.

I am pro choice (with limitations) but have voted Republican for years. You are incorrect about Republicans not being concerned with women and other demographics.

It has always been my opinion that abortion laws should be decided by state. Many others feel this way. It was not a "spineless maneuver". The Abortion debate is a divisive topic and makes presidential (and other higher national office positions) elections to be decided on a one issue vote. The office of President requires focus on foreign affairs, economy, safety, education and so many other important issues and is overshadowed by this one issue. When we have one issue votes like this, it is how we get inept Presidents like Biden. Our government, especially democrats, knows this and that is why they focus on strong polarizing talking points to get votes.

Of course, we all have a right to have our own opinions.

Who, Donald Trump? He didn't do anything-

The Case that fell in front of the Supreme Court (almost 15 years in the making) was the perfect case to revert Roe V Wade back to the States. As you are aware, to date many States allow abortions. So, abortion, is still legal federally, it is not the right of the state to limit its access to women. Which, some states have done. But legally speaking, Abortion is still legal.

So, no, I don't blame Trump for that. Even Ruth Bader Ginsberg said Roe V Wade was the wrong case to use to legalise abortion federally for women, and the court should have heard another case. Roe V Wade was not the right case, since it had a loophole that could overturn it based on the State's rights issue. We were told this in Constitutional Law on Day 1, that, in our careers as lawyers Roe v Wade would be overturned. Trump just pandered to his base and used it for votes, who knows what he actually thinks on the issue?

In all honesty- I blame the male Judges who refused to listen to Ginsberg when she begged them not to pick Roe V Wade as the case to hear for deciding a woman's right to choose.

For your information - Here is a good reference as to why Ginsberg didn't feel Roe was a solid case.

PS- I also blame the Democratic party who knew this was coming for 15 years and did nothing to stop it.

I became a fan during the initial C days, thanks to my adult Daughters. You helped keep us all a bit Sane during a very trying time. Your political coverage of RFK Jr. has been so very much needed and appreciated. The discrimination toward him is not something he ever deserved and it's shrouded in ignorance. I watched his Father and Uncle die on TV. It's never left my memory. Watching Him for many years speak out against big Pharma and corrupt politicians has been so reaffirming to my own beliefs. Loved your Trump coverage, as well. Thank You Thank You Thank You!!! Love your whole aura!!!
