I’m just so shocked more people aren’t team Gwyneth reading through the comments! This dude was 70 and she had 4 instructors with her. Don’t do dangerous stuff in your 70s if you don’t want to accept the risks, duh. Also, she’s worth $200M. I think if she seriously hurt someone, she’d pay the $300k or her personal liability insurance would. Good for her for not being harassed into paying. People need to learn not everyone allows their self to be extorted through the legal system. And I defy anyone to not make a single face when you sit there all day listening to straight up lies. I’ll never understand how attorneys get away with blatant lying while the parties can’t even state the facts.
Great summary as usual. I do think though, that a crime is a crime-- weather it's 130k or 13,000,000. The letter of the law is what puts us all on the same page- what unites us. If there is clear evidence that Trump broke the law, then he should be tried. I know there may be unfortunate repercussions (and I'm not happy about that). But no one should be above the law.
I heard a “Lawtube” attorney say on a recent YT video that Trump will become a martyr if the Left continues to go after him. I’m not a fan of Trump, the man, but I did and will vote for him over anyone with a D by their name. He is & will always be the Lefts obsession. It’s funny really. If they would just stop the obsession, media included, he would disappear into obscurity. He’s smarter than them, knows too much (DC & Hollywood secrets) & has the goods on many of them. Remember not that many years ago they were ALL buddies. They are pushing us regular people to the point the next election will be a landslide win for Trump.
Is the difference between the Clinton and Trump payoffs that Trump got caught paying with campaign funds and Clinton didn’t (that I’m aware of)? Genuine question.
Also- I think the “I’m famous” quote was emailed by the man suing GP (email to his kid)- unless I read wrong, which is entirely possible
Sadly this poor man had no idea he was in the presence of Hollywood royalty, If he had, I’m sure he would have retired to a safe distance and respectfully bowed , or doffed his hat ( skiing helmet ) when she came careening down the hill,
27 years in journalism (I say I’m recovering now) and moved to doing my own thing on Substack too - it’s a never ending juicy mountain. But I don’t know that we can ever catch up, because we can do soooo much these days but it all needs a bit of our brain. Kudos
