Tbh you can tell a lot about a person based on their opinion of this particular performance... Kendrick is a conceptual artist. Not everyone is going to "get it"
Completely agree! A page I follow on IG was full of positive comments about the commercials and entertainment how “we’ve won the culture war” and “America is back”
I got into a back and forth expressing my specific take on the commercials full of leftist ideology and the entertainment was terrible Only to be told that I was a miserable person full of skepticism and negativity. Oh okay lol
Nike could have taken the opportunity to profile the Riley Gaines of the world who stood up at great personal cost to advocate for women’s sports.
I voted for Trump, so I agree with what you're saying but I think that many here like, you and me, are sensing the darkness that is bubbling up around us. We are in the midst of a great deception. Search Super Bowl 59 Halftime Stargate on the CalcifiedLies channel for an interesting interpretation of what was really being represented...
I'm curious what you thought wasn't okay for viewing families? There were no curse words and lots of cool dancing. The style of music may not have been your jam personally, but at my house there were a bunch of 5th graders who were jamming out and loved the show.
Roger Goodell is all in for the Left. He must be quite an activist himself and so tries to insert his personal politics into the Super Bowl, which he completely controls
Was Kendrick Lamar's performance as entertaining and spectacular as Beyonce's, Usher's, Dr Dre's or Rihanna's? No, but Kendrick delivered a MESSAGE during his performance! Hope you caught that at least.
I did and didn't appreciate it. Or the messages infused in the commercials. Enough already with the messages, especially during events that are meant for entertainment.
I respect what the guy tried to do. But wrong place to do so.
I'm not a fan of football at all. Boring. So the one thing I anticipated was a shiny show from colorful New Orleans... instead a bland, yuck night... luckily I was in great company so we laughed and had fun for the night.
As an ex member of the Swiftie-hood having firmly decided that I’m sick and tired of her performative BS, it was glorious. It’s the little things in life.
I totally get that, especially after the ride we’ve been on with her for the last several years. When the initial ‘reputation’ era happened, her popularity was completely different at the time, so it’ll be interesting to see her next move.
I feel so grateful to be alive to witness and feel the shift in humanity. Sports don’t interest me (bread & circuses) and after Kaepernick took a knee I told myself I’d never watch another Super Bowl. Catching clips, I see I’m really not missing much. The days of true showmanship and great music are long gone. The Taylor and Mr. Pfizer’s chemistry is non-existent. Did they have to extend their charade since that contract surfaced lol? Love seeing Trump receive that reception. Truly an incredible time but I could have gone the rest of my life without seeing Seal’s head on a seal. Omg 😆
Back right off August, LW said they feel grateful for the shift. Your lame, nasty comment is devoid of substance. The whole country stopped taking a knee and started doing the Trump dance. If you do not like the entire country's decision maybe YOU should stay home bc you will be more comfortable, and Lord knows liberals don't like discomfort. Your comment does not even make sense, is poorly written and you sound like an angry liberal sore loser.
Whoever started the rumor about the DOGE commercials… props to them, they got a lot more viewers because of it. I don’t watch the Super Bowl traditionally. I’m glad the Eagles won. I love the interceptions. The biggest thing I noticed was more references to God from the players and also there was a commercial about Jesus. I’ve never seen a Jesus commercial. I felt that many of the commercials were more wholesome maybe. I enjoyed seeing the baby Clydesdale horse in the Budweiser commercial.
I had to call my niece to find out what that halftime show was all about .. and who that artist was.
Overall, I was also completely bored. Happy for the Eagles team win, loved seeing the coach & players giving glory to God. Eagles fans however, need an etiquette lesson. They are some of the worst in the NFL. Also on the plus side, at least everyone at the halftime show was mostly clothed.
You're right; the halftime show was dreadful. The ringmaster act, performed by an actor who I cannot for the life of me put a name to, was confusing at best.
And who, for God's sake, does the NFL think their audience is?
A huge business enterprise with money to throw around, and they still churn out nonsense. Amazing.
The “ring master” is Uncle Sam and it’s symbolic that Samuel L Jackson plays Uncle Sam being that Uncle Sam symbolizes American culture. Kendrick was telling of story of how black culture also represents America. He is a story teller, and allows his audience to think as he always has. That’s the beauty of his performance. He’s a true artist.
I agree about how boring it was. And Kendrick was awful. When do we finally get back to having a great halftime show? Is JZ done now??? Please say yes.
I’m curious about Jay Z being done too, because he signed a 5 year contract in 2019 which would have already expired so did they re-up the contract or what’s going on with that?
It was so obvious to me how the commercials went from woke last year to patriotic this year. It's like everyone has jumped on the bandwagon, but SO INTENTIONAL this time! Instead of being inspired, I wanted to roll my eyes. Like, "Too late guys"
So many close-minded, triggered old people. Protest is part of this country history and spirit. Divided flag representation was powerful. My 30-something kids got it and they grew up on the NFL.
It’s possible to not like something for reasons other than race, you know. It’s also close minded to think everyone has to like everything and not have an opinion of their own.
It makes me laugh so hard to see everyone’s opinions of the superbowl and especially the half time show. It says so much about you as a person. If people knew that they probably wouldn’t say it was boring. Welcome to America. Bustling with black culture that white people can’t understand. What Kendrick said - they not like us. Sorry you can’t see the light.
You're correct to say it was 'bustling with black culture', yet it was still a 'spectacle' worthy of a nation in decline. Black ballplayers are treated with the same respect that thoroughbred horses are treated with and then 'put out to pasture' when the game they play so well destroys their bodies and minds and they have to fight the overlords in the NFL for health benefits. And the aged white entertainers in the media and commercials laugh all the way to the bank at the expense of the 'bustling black culture'.
Why is it so difficult to find good quality entertainment when it’s a true story about how our country was founded and how it was built on the backs of some people and how other people have reaped from that work. It’s a sad state of affairs in our society when people don’t understand that art is a reflection of the people and how we have to live and work and live and die in our society. Project 2025 was created in order to make us a society of White male straight slavers this is the real agenda - fear of a brown country that has a white minority…
This does not make sense because obviously it made you feel some kind of way about the fact that I have an opinion about something that I don’t happen to personally put in a category that doesn’t fit with your beliefs but that doesn’t make it wrong or right. There are facts and there are things that are not factual. And that is just what it is. I’m sorry if this offends your feelings but it’s not my racism to say it but it’s the systemic racism that denies it and refuses to acknowledge that fact and wants to change history by saying that it didn’t happen. I’m not trying to get a pass from anyone to say that I deserve anything but what I deserve from what I’ve come to know about my ancestors contribution to the history of this nation and their nation’s constant campaign to keep our people from being equal to or above their peers by stealing , raping and pillaging, redlining, etc, Tulsa OK
Kendrick’s performance was a love letter to Black History and was riddled with symbolism and how black men and women have to play the game in order to survive white America. It was beautiful.
I don’t get all the Kendrick hate. I thought he did a good job…
Same, he’s always been a great performer in my opinion. At least authentic in his own way!
Tbh you can tell a lot about a person based on their opinion of this particular performance... Kendrick is a conceptual artist. Not everyone is going to "get it"
The entertainment was propaganda and embarrassing.
agree
I couldn’t believe how BAD it was. THAT choice was the best for the viewing audience? For families?
Hardly.
And it was CAREFULLY thought out.
All of it.
That is scary that someone in charge was thinking that was a good choice.
Completely agree! A page I follow on IG was full of positive comments about the commercials and entertainment how “we’ve won the culture war” and “America is back”

Great point about Nike.

Just because you don't know the songs doesn't mean it was bad. What was offensive to you? For real? It was the most watched football show in history.
Roger Goodell is all in for the Left. He must be quite an activist himself and so tries to insert his personal politics into the Super Bowl, which he completely controls
And the one in charge is accused of raping a minor, and he shoved Usher on us right before the Puffy drama. Something is amiss.
Thank Jay-Z, he's the one who gets to decide... $$$
Was Kendrick Lamar's performance as entertaining and spectacular as Beyonce's, Usher's, Dr Dre's or Rihanna's? No, but Kendrick delivered a MESSAGE during his performance! Hope you caught that at least.
We caught the divisive message. And I happen to be a fan.
What was divisive about it in your opinion?
They don’t like the message.
I did and didn't appreciate it. Or the messages infused in the commercials. Enough already with the messages, especially during events that are meant for entertainment.
I respect what the guy tried to do. But wrong place to do so.

I certainly agree that it was message overkill this year. Curious, why you think it was the wrong place for him to deliver a message?
Worst game and worst half-time show in Super Bowl History. Fire Jay-Z. Couldn’t even finish watching. I thought the ads were mediocre, at best.
This was a great presentation by Kendrick Lamar about how we were/are being used as tools to make
As an ex member of the Swiftie-hood having firmly decided that I’m sick and tired of her performative BS, it was glorious. It’s the little things in life.
It is so weird bc I have been strictly anti swift and then at the grammys and now I actually felt bad for her for the first time..
I totally get that, especially after the ride we’ve been on with her for the last several years. When the initial ‘reputation’ era happened, her popularity was completely different at the time, so it’ll be interesting to see her next move.
PLEASE bc i have had ENOUGH. my husband asks me all the time what happened bc i was such a big fan for so long and it’s simple. It’s not fun anymore.
totally agree. hope it involves piping down more and more
Wow! She doesn't care. She has more $$ than she'll ever spend. Just keeps performing her bubble gum music because she's too narcissistic to quit.
I feel so grateful to be alive to witness and feel the shift in humanity. I just want to know why people who are so rich have the worst fashion sense?
you can tell whose stylists secretly hate them
I heard a take that she dresses kinda bad to stay approachable to her audience. I hope that’s the case because it is ROUGH
swifties have been fighting for their lives!!

I agree about the halftime show. It was nice to not have to send my kids out of the room because of half naked, gyrating people. It was refreshing..
You're right; the halftime show was dreadful. The ringmaster act, performed by an actor who I cannot for the life of me put a name to, was confusing at best.

Uncle Sam or was the pause and subtle cocked head nod to “remind” people they need not be an Uncle Tom?
Also, where were the 30 second DOGE commercials Elon supposedly dropped 40 mil for? That was the only reason I watched half time
I agree about how boring it was. And Kendrick was awful. When do we finally get back to having a great halftime show? Is JZ done now??? Please say yes.

Hence the prison yard and video game controller/Squid games stage sets. And the warnings from Uncle Sam to play by the rules.
It’s not for white consumption and that pisses a lot of people off.

You sound quite racist
What about that was racist? It was a truthful comment. Were any of your ancestors in slavery?
As a reminder, not all slaves are/were black. In fact, globally and historically the vast majority slaves are not black.
In the US, Black people were the overwhelming majority of slaves and the only group forced into chattel slavery.
This is called blatant racism hiding behind reverse racism.

Yeah, so original.
